Why we built Inter AIA

By Inter AIA Founders

This is a note from the founding team — on what we saw, what we believed, and why we spent years building something we were not sure the market was ready for.

What we saw

We came into football from different directions — some from inside clubs and agencies, some from technology, some from adjacent industries. But we all saw the same thing: a sport that generates more money, more data, and more global attention than almost any other business on earth — running its operations on tools that would embarrass a mid-sized logistics company.

Spreadsheets. WhatsApp groups. Disconnected SaaS tools. Individual analysts manually compiling reports that should take minutes and instead take days. World-class sporting directors making billion-euro decisions without access to the kind of structured intelligence that a hedge fund would consider basic.

"Football deserves better infrastructure. Not because it would be nice — but because the decisions made at the top of the game affect thousands of careers, billions in value, and the experiences of hundreds of millions of fans."

What we believed

We believed — and still believe — that the right answer is not more data tools. The problem was never data availability. The problem was the absence of an operating system: a unified platform that combines data, expertise, workflows, and network intelligence into something that actually helps people make better decisions.

We also believed that AI, applied correctly to the specific context of football, could be genuinely transformative. Not in the way that generic AI tools are applied to every industry — but in a way that is deeply grounded in how football actually works.

Why now

The timing felt right for three reasons. AI capabilities had reached a level where genuinely useful football intelligence agents were possible. The global football industry had reached a scale where the inefficiency cost was undeniable. And a generation of football insiders was ready to engage seriously with technology — not as a threat, but as an opportunity.

We built Inter AIA for the people who run football. We hope it becomes infrastructure that the industry cannot imagine operating without.
